Deborah Madnick, PsyD
Licensed Psychologist • CA PSY 35372 • PA PS019803
I am a licensed psychologist in California and Pennsylvania, offering online therapy for teens and adults. I provide evidence-based treatment for anxiety, OCD, trauma, phobias, social anxiety, health anxiety, depression, women’s health, and coping with medical illness and chronic pain. My approach to therapy is collaborative, flexible, and direct, using humor and compassion while tailoring treatment to your individual needs. I believe evidence-based therapy is important — it’s backed by research, so we know it’s effective! At the same time, it is equally important to me to create an individualized treatment plan for each of my clients, and to flexibly adapt and change our approach as needed.
I received my Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from La Salle University, with a focus on health psychology. I completed my APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, and I completed a postdoctoral fellowship and practiced as a licensed psychologist at the CBT Center for Anxiety and OCD. My clinical work has spanned community health, private practice, hospital, and primary care settings. I have received advanced training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), among other treatments. In addition to my private practice, I currently provide supervision to clinicians working towards licensure as a Clinical Supervisor Psychologist at Kaiser Permanente.
