About Me

Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m passionate about helping people get “unstuck” in their lives — whether in their relationships, patterns of thinking, or ways they move through the world. Sometimes we find ourselves caught in cycles of worry, avoidance, or self-criticism that are hard to break on our own.

I specialize in anxiety, mood, and trauma. I also have a particular interest in women’s mental health, including fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum challenges, as well as supporting people living with chronic pain or illness.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer in-person sessions?

I currently offer online sessions only, through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. I can see clients who are located in California or Pennsylvania at the time of the session.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance directly. However, many insurance companies provide reimbursement for out-of-network psychotherapy services. I am happy to provide something called a superbill by request that can be used to seek reimbursement from your insurer.

I recommend that you contact your insurance company to inquire about the availability of reimbursement for out-of-network psychotherapy services. Here are some questions that may be helpful to ask your insurance company:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per out-of-network therapy session, CPT code 90834?
  • How do I access the form(s) needed to submit a request for reimbursement?
What is your fee?

Please reach out directly and I’m happy to talk through payment and fees. My fees are based on the usual and customary rates for psychologists in the Bay Area. However, I do offer a number of sliding scale spots based on need.

How long are sessions, and how often will we meet?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Most clients start with weekly sessions, and we can adjust the frequency together as you make progress.

How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?

Feeling comfortable with your therapist is one of the most important parts of therapy. The free 15-minute consultation is a chance to ask questions and get a sense of whether we’re a good fit. If we’re not, I’m happy to connect you to colleagues and other resources.

What if I’m in crisis?

I’m not able to provide emergency services. If you are in crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
